I first went to the Holy See / Vatican City years ago and walked around the outside, but that’s not the interesting part. It was a summer, and the line was brutally long.
This time, I bought a ticket online in advance, and that’s definitely the way to go.
You’re not supposed to take pictures inside, but I managed to snap a few.
