I flew to Riga for 2 days before taking a bus to Vilnius, Lithuania for another 2 days on a 4-day weekend from work. It was freezing!!! but a good trip.
The first night, I walked around taking pictures, trying to keep moving to keep warm.
The second day, I saw more of central Riga and drank a LOT of coffee to keep warm.
I saw a lot of markers for where the independence movement had started, where the battle lines were, and a lot of pride in the 20+ years of independence now. Riga was fun.
The next morning, I caught a bus to Vilnius.
